There are just a few more precious weeks left of summer, and you’ve been thinking about booking a magical trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. What’s holding you back? Don’t know where to start? No worries, the Disney Parks Moms Panel is here to help! This week we are digging into our bag of pro-tips during a week-long series that will help you plan everything from a last-minute, fun-filled girls’ weekend to a memory-making family reunion trip, just in time for those last few weeks of summer fun.

First up, a three-day getaway for adults-only!

Yes, you read that correctly. Three days and adults-only equals one amazing Walt Disney World Resort vacation, take it from our panelists.

Tip #1: Use My Disney Experience to skip the check-in line, giving you more time in the parks.

Make the most out of your short-getaway and arrive early on Day 1. You can drop your bags with bell-services at your resort and head straight to the parks. Using My Disney Experience and online check-in, you can skip the front desk when you come back from a fun filled day at the parks and go straight to your room.  Just use your MagicBand or smart phone to unlock your door, and then have your bags delivered to you.

This will give you plenty of time to get ready for a romantic date night at one of our signature dining restaurants. Have you dreamed of an evening at Victoria & Albert’s? Adults-only vacations would be the perfect opportunity! Our panelists also recommend dining at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort or Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, both are award-winning restaurants that have amazing views of Happily Ever After fireworks.

Tip #2: Spend a little time at your resort!

Choosing the right resort for your stay is important!  Would you prefer a savanna view? Or how about the charm of a Victorian seaside resort? While everyone agrees all the Disney Resort hotels are amazing, Jessica highly recommends a resort near Disney’s BoardWalk, when it’s an adults-only getaway.

“My husband and I love to sneak away for a weekend at the Most Magical Place on Earth pretty frequently, and we enjoy staying at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort. They’re both within walking distance to Epcot [and Disney’s Hollywood Studios], as well as Disney’s BoardWalk, which has some incredible restaurants and great nightlife too. The pool, Stormalong Bay, is legendary among guests and is the perfect place to relax with some frozen drinks.”

Guests can also sneak away to one of the leisure pools. Did you know many Disney Resort hotels have a smaller pool away from the excitement and fun of the main pool?  Offering some tranquility, it’s the perfect place to curl up with a book or lounge in the sun.  Or, find your way to another Disney Resort hotel for the afternoon for a leisurely lunch or spa time.

Tip #3: Go behind the scenes of the magic!

Maybe your little ones are a bit too young to partake in the behind the scenes tours. Use your adults-only trip to go backstage with some of the great tour offerings like: Behind the Seeds, Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience, Disney’s The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour, or the The unDISCOVERed Future World.  Tours are also a great way to help you learn more and even experience more in a short amount of time. Kari’s top recommendation is Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour. This 5-hour walking tour allows Guests the opportunity to learn hidden secrets about Magic Kingdom Park and even take a trip through the famous underground “Utilidor” tunnels.

After your tour, end the day with the great dining and phenomenal shopping that can be found at Disney SpringsSue says it’s a must for your three-day itinerary!

An evening at Disney Springs includes strolling through the shops, (maybe treating yourself to a new must-have handbag), a delicious dinner with a variety of dining choices, live entertainment options, maybe even coffee & dessert or a drink at a nearby bar. All this and more can be found at this amazing destination!

Whew, what an amazing and relaxing three-day vacation!
