Did you know it’s National Zoo Keeper Week? Here at Disney, we like to use this time as an opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to the many cast members within Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment who help care for thousands of animals at Walt Disney World Resort. This includes our incredible teams of animal keepers, aquarists and water scientists, ranch hands, all of our veterinary team members and scientists, nutritionists, behaviorists, administrative support professionals and leaders.

Disney’s Animal Care Team is comprised of cast members from all over the world, each bringing a different set of skills and experience with them. These cast members are not only dedicated to the daily care of our animals at Walt Disney World Resort, but they’re also some of the most passionate conservationists I know. They’re eager to do what they can to help save endangered species worldwide, and I am so proud of the work they do each day.

Caring for animals is a 24/7/365 responsibility, and the teams work diligently to keep the well-being of each animal their number one priority. Whether they’re preparing diets, performing medical procedures, cleaning barns, training animals to participate in their own health care, or diving into pools or aquariums, each day is different. But one thing remains a constant – their passion and dedication to their craft.

You can learn more about many of the animals the team cares for, and some of the exciting work they do by visiting DisneyAnimals.com.
