Disney4me
If you and your family are preparing for a visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the immersive new land located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, then you won’t want to miss these tips from members of the Disney Parks Moms Panel. First, make sure you download the Play Disney Parks Mobile App as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was designed to fully integrate with the app. According to Samantha, when you are within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, your Play Disney Parks Mobile App* becomes your Datapad. While taking in all the sights, guests can earn virtual galactic credits for things they do in the land using their Datapad, and credits earned will display in their Datapad profile. Not sure what one wears in this galactic land? Tony says there is no better time than now to try out your best Disney Bounding outfit. No matter whether you want to represent the Resistance or the First Order, Disney Bounding is the perfect way to show your alliance. And remember, while young children are allowed to dress in costume, adults may not per Walt Disney World attire guidelines. As you prepare for your epic adventure on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, be sure you check out some of the best food in the galaxy at Oga’s Cantina and Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. At these locations you can enjoy unique food items as well as out-of-this-world concoctions. “Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs operates this quick-serve dining location. Guests will see his transport shuttle sitting atop Docking Bay 7, which he uses as a mobile kitchen and restaurant,” explains Samantha. “In Black Spire Outpost, he has turned Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo into an eatery where he serves up dishes created from ingredients he has collected throughout his journeys. Tony’s Tip: Oga’s Cantina has limited seating so if you want to experience this as a priority make sure you stop here first! If you and your family can’t wait to become one with the Force, you will want to schedule a time to visit Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. This is an immersive retail experience in which guests can customize their own lightsabers. Reservations are required to participate and are subject to availability. Droid Depot is also another interactive merchandise expert where you can create that droid that you have been looking for! Samantha explains that here guests may build and activate their own BB-series or R-series astromech droid. Once activated, the droids can interact with other droids and Bluetooth-enabled elements throughout Black Spire Outpost. The Droid Depot also sells prebuilt droids and other droid-related merchandise. And last but not least, get ready for the ride of your life on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Take a ride in the cockpit of the famous Millennium Falcon as either a pilot, engineer or gunner. And remember every role is critical for a successful flight. Tony’s Tip: The Single Rider Line is a great way to experience this attraction more times and with less wait!
