There’s a CAN in My Boot! Disneyland Resort Design & Engineering Creates Disney and Pixar’s Woody Using Food Cans

Yee-haw! The Disneyland Resort Design & Engineering team created the Disney and Pixar character Woody using more than 7,000 food cans!

The structure is on display at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif., until Sept. 22, as part of the 2019 CANstruction Orange County design-build competition, benefiting the Orange County Food Bank.

Over the last 12 years, Disneyland Resort has provided the OC Food Bank more than 75,000 cans for the local community through CANstruction Orange County.

At nine feet tall, Woody is made out of canned jalapenos, green chiles, olives, rice, beans and baby food. He came to life in just over six hours—see him built in less than a minute in this video:
