We reported a few months ago that Disneyland had announced an all-new 12-story Disney Vacation Club time-share tower that was proposed to be built next to the Disneyland Hotel. Well, things seem to be moving forward because Disney has officially filed the first round of permits with the city of Anaheim AND they’ve released some details and concept art for the new tower, so let’s check out this future lap of luxury!

According to Orange County Register, the tower is set to introduce 350 new vacation club rooms including two MULTI-LEVEL Grand Villas towards the top of the tower. Wowza. The facility will also sport a Mickey-shaped spa and an outdoor pool bar! It’s set to be built on about two acres directly next to the existing Disneyland Hotel and guests will use check-in services at Disneyland Hotel (so think Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary!).

Disney Vacation Club members will be able to use the points system to book space in these fancy new digs as early as 2023 as long as all goes to plan. Now, it’s important to note that the permits haven’t even been approved yet so construction could be delayed longer than expected or it could be changed or even canceled altogether (we’re lookin’ at you, Canceled Downtown Disney Hotel). Hopefully, though, that won’t be the case with this project and everything will run smoothly!

We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop on any updates about the upcoming tower, especially if it’s new concept art! In the meantime, happy travels!
