It was all aboard today as guests arrived before dawn at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and continued to roll into the park by the thousands for opening day of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

The first ride-through attraction in Disney history starring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse brought fans out in their bounding best. From Mickey’s classic red and yellow to Minnie’s iconic polka dots to countless varieties of mouse ear headwear and so much more, guests came decked to the nines in honor of those true originals to be among the first experiencing this new family-friendly adventure.

Mickey & Minnie’s Railway brings you inside the park’s re-creation of the Chinese Theatre for the premiere of “Perfect Picnic,” a new “Mickey Mouse” cartoon short. With a little Disney magic, you travel through the movie screen and into Mickey & Minnie’s cartoon world, where “mouse rules apply” and anything can – and does! – happen.

Engineer Goofy invites you aboard his Runnamuck Railroad to follow Mickey and Minnie on their search for a perfect picnic spot. And with Goofy as your guide … what could possibly go off track?

We’ve been celebrating this landmark attraction here on the Disney Parks Blog for several days, and we’re so excited it’s now open for you to experience. Mickey and Minnie are looking forward to seeing you real soon!
