We’ll admit that we have an attachment to some of our favorite restaurants around EPCOT, whether we’re getting a pastry at Les Halles or a big bowl of cheese soup at Le Cellier.

But, we try to expand out palate by exploring each of the pavilions in the World Showcase to try things we normally wouldn’t in Disney World! And, we’re SO glad we stopped by the China Pavilion recently to find a fun dessert in the shops!

The House of Good Fortune is full of unique merchandise and snacks from China that will send you on a mini trip around the world. During our walk through the shop, we noticed that there was a new form of mochi on the shelves that was a bit different from the rest.

We’ve seen plenty of fruit-flavored treats, but this version has taken the ever popular Bubble Milk Tea trend and made it into mochi form! Since we are BIG fans of Bubble Tea, you know we had to get a pack for ourselves…for research purposes, obviously. 😉

In case you have never had mochi, they are little rice cakes. On the inside, there is usually a flavored filling, which can be savory or sweet. Many shops carry mochi that is usually on the sweeter side with green tea, fruit, and other flavors.

The Bubble Milk Tea Mochi’s appearance was similar to other kinds of mochi with the sweet and chewable outer covering…

…but the inside ACTUALLY tasted like Bubble Tea! You could pick up notes of both the tea flavor and milk, and we were impressed by this little snack.

Whether you’re a fan of Bubble Milk Tea and mochi or you’re looking for something unique to try in Disney World, this treat is a great snack for when you’re hopping around the World Showcase for only $5.95 per bag. And, we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any other special eats and treats you can find in EPCOT soon!
