Disney4me
We won’t lie — we love playing with our food. And we love coming up with food hacks to take a snack up a level or to create something entirely new! The most controversial milk in the galaxy! We’ve already played around with a cool Dole Whip hack, as well as mixed Churros with Coconut Dole Whip (hello, YUM!). We even hacked a Valentine’s Day treat to turn it into something even more epic. But today, we’re turning to that most controversial of snacks — the Blue Milk at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Blue Milk is one of those things that Star Wars fans either love or hate, but we always recommend trying it, just because. But it’s certainly not one of our favorite things to drink at Disney World. We did previously hack this drink by mixing it with the Green Milk, but today, we had a moment of inspiration when staring at Kyber Crystals… . Green Kyber Crystal These crystals come in a variety of colors. Kyber Crystal colors So we thought, “Hey, what if we make a drink based on the Kyber Crystals?” And well, what’s more iconic than making a drink with Blue Milk from the Milk Stand? So we grabbed some of that Blue Milk. Plain ‘ole blue milk. But THEN we grabbed some…wait for it…Pink Cotton Candy! You can pick up cotton candy at a variety of carts all over Disney World. Our two components Step one was creating a Kyber Crystal shape out of the cotton candy — believe it or not, it’s fairly easy to sculpt! Our “Kyber Crystal” Then we put our “crystal” on top of our Blue Milk! Kyber Crystal Drink! We did realize, though, that cotton candy dissolves pretty quickly, so our “crystal” got smaller and smaller… . It’s shrinking! But it actually created a REALLY cool effect. So, we did a thing. Cotton candy from Toy Story Land added to Galaxy’s Edge Blue Milk = sweeter and more fun! pic.twitter.com/BReOxxxljk — AJ Wolfe (@DisneyFoodBlog) April 28, 2021 But that actually created something even COOLER, because we ended up with a VERY pretty blue and pink drink that reminds us of a galaxy, so VERY appropriate! Meanwhile, other guests watched our mad scientist experiment with interest, and the next thing we know, others were planning on hacking their Blue Milk, too! PRETTY! Our Kyber Crystal is a success! But…how did it taste? Well, it’s got the same smoothie-like texture. Also, the flavor didn’t change as much, except it was a little sweeter. But we think we turned that Blue Milk into something even more fun! And KIDS will love doing this experiment for themselves! We think this is so fun and makes this drink more fun and much better! The Blue Milk is $7.99 and the Cotton Candy is $5, so you can recreate this yourself for $12.99. We’re calling this our Kyper Crystal Mocktail, but you can make it a cocktail simply by purchsing the boozy option. If you try this out, let us know what you think!
