Meanwhile, some other Orlando theme parks are posting to social media their stances about the stunt. Jason Jeter, who posts to TikTok as showmelovejete, and has a presence on other social media platforms, was already popular for videos he posted while employed at the theme park up until mid-March. On March 18, he had about 250,000 followers on TikTok when he posted a video that said he was fired from his job citing that management was not happy about videos he had posted in the week prior. One of those included shots of him trying water from fountains at Disney Springs - not drinking fountains, but the large landscape features around the shopping district. Most of the videos showed him dipping a water bottle into a fountain, taking a sip and spitting the water out, giving it a rating on a 1 to 10 scale while also intermixed with normal water options like a cup from the Coca-Cola store. Of note, water from fountains in general isn’t potable, and should not be consumed. On March 20, he posted a video saying, “Getting fired from Disney might have been the best thing that has ever happened to me,” citing that his TikTok audience had grown to more than 430,000 followers in just two days, and he had several offers for new employment. In the six weeks since, he has posted several videos including more in the water-drinking theme including at Disney’s resorts. On May 4, he posted video set to sad music saying he had been banned for life by Disney, showing a trespass warning from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. The official social media accounts for SeaWorld, Universal and Legoland have made posts referencing the water-drinking videos. Legoland Florida’s post said, “Our water is made for watersports and not for drinking...just sayin’....” While Universal Orlando posted a shot of Ripsaw Falls with the text, “PSA: Made for splashing, not drinking.” And SeaWorld Orlando posted images of margaritas for Cinco de Mayo while replying to their own post, “Side note, these taste a lot better than fountain water. Just saying.”
