Walt Disney World has returned animatronics representing “The Three Caballeros” to the stage inside Epcot’s The Grand Fiesta Tour ride.

The threesome — Donald Duck, Jose Carioca and Panchito Pistoles — were restored “from the ground up using the latest technology,” Imagineer Zach Riddley posted on his Instagram account Wednesday. They were reinstalled overnight in the attraction inside the Mexico pavilion, he said. Two-dimensional versions of the birds, who appeared in Disney’s 1944 animated film “The Three Caballeros,” had been standing on the stage near the end of the attraction for several weeks.

The animatronic figures were part of Mickey Mouse Revue, an opening day attraction at Magic Kingdom, before being shipped to Tokyo Disneyland in 1983. They remained in Japan for 26 years. They were installed in the Epcot ride within a concert scene in 2015.

The characters are seen throughout the ride, but they have also done meet-and-greets with Epcot visitors. The figures currently are seen in topiary form as part of the Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.
