Each time a jetliner touches down at Orlando’s airport, it leaves a long smear of hot tire rubber on the runway. After some months, the rubber builds up enough to obliterate lines and lettering. The FAA requires those lines and lettering to be visible. So the airport hires a specialized crew to scrub off runways.
