Casey’s, a longtime eatery with prime real estate on the theme park’s Main Street, USA, official opens to the public again June 30. The counter-serve restaurant is known for all-beef hot dogs, corn dog nuggets and chili-cheese fries. It will be joined by its across-the-street neighbor Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, serving cups, cones, floats and more, on July 7. The eateries remained closed after the park reopened last summer following a shutdown prompted by the coronavirus pandemic. On the higher-end of the dining spectrum, Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa reopens July 15. Diners can make reservations beginning July 1. The restaurant has been “re-imagined,” according to the official Disney Parks Blog, to include subtle shout-outs to “Mary Poppins Returns.” New Citricos menu items, from the mind of Chef Andres Mendoza, include sweet corn bisque and strawberry salad plus desserts including warm apple rose and a chocolate torte. Then, on July 17, Trail’s End comes back at Disney’s Fort Wilderness, featuring family-style skillets. It will be open for breakfast and dinner. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, Dino Diner reopens July 4.
