Early morning entry to theme parks will be a benefit of staying at a Walt Disney World hotel again as of Oct. 1, the company announced. This will apply every day to all four parks, according to a post on the official Disney Parks Blog.

But the later, extended evening hours will be available for guests staying in Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resort levels of hotels on select nights in select parks. (Think monorail resorts, Animal Kingdom Lodge and such — not Port Orleans or Pop Century). That will start in early October; Disney has not shared exact dates.

These benefits, previously under an umbrella term of Extra Magic Hours, did not come back when the hotels and theme parks reopened last July after the pandemic shutdown. The past version included additional hours in specific parks on select days, sometimes before regular operating hours, sometimes after.

Valid tickets and date-specific reservations will continue to be required to enter the parks at that time, Disney said.

The post also mentioned that the popular Disney Dining Plan attached to hotels would be returning, but it did not say when.

The launch of the early park entry coincides with the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.
