That celebration is slated to begin Oct. 1 Disney World has not been selling new annual passes since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic but has renewed passes as plans expired. Disney World last week also brought back a mask mandate for guests 2 and older when indoors and on resort transportation. The company is requiring all of its non-union hourly and salaried employees to get vaccinated against coronavirus. The company made both moves as Florida emerged as an epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic, with 20% of the cases nationwide and record-setting hospitalizations.
