Disney4me
During your Disney World trip, one of the most important things you need to be aware of and prepare for is the weather. Flying Earlier this week, we shared that some severe weather could make its way to Disney World today, October 28th. Now, it seems that weather and the thunderstorms that have come with it could impact flights trying to head out of the area. Earlier today, Orlando International Airport posted on Twitter about potential weather issues that could impact flights, and also re-posted a Tweet from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) about weather issues. According to the FAA, some weather issues could slow air traffic at several airports today including Orlando International Airport, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Miami International Airport, and Tampa International Airport. Possible delays may also take place in other places like Boston Logan International Airport and airports in Dallas. Due to weather/thunderstorms, airline operations may be impacted with flight delays/cancellations and baggage delivery delays. Please check with your airline directly for any updates in regards to their ops. Be sure to check with your airline to see if they have issued any updates regarding your flight or other issues. In the Air You can also check the FAA website for general information about delays. When we visited the site and clicked for more information about Orlando International Airport, it noted that there were some potential departure delays between 16-30 minutes in length, and some longer delays depending on where your flight is headed. At this time, it seems the arrival traffic is only experiencing delays of 15 minutes or less, however. ©FAA If you’ll be flying out of Orlando or the other airports mentioned above, be sure to check with your airline to see if any delays have resulted due to weather concerns.
