If you take a stroll down Disney’s BoardWalk you’ll find a number of restaurants, shops, entertainment, and more in the 9,000 square foot district — but new things are coming and a few things are changing, so here’s what you need to know, especially if you’re a fan of the BoardWalk Bakery. The BoardWalk Bakery is currently a spot to grab breakfast items, baked goods, and sandwiches. In essence, they serve a smorgasbord of tasty baked items! BoardWalk Bakery BUT. Instead of serving a variety of baked goods, Disney just announced that BoardWalk Bakery will be transitioned into a NEW sandwich shop! According to Disney’s announcement, “the BoardWalk Bakery will become a new sandwich shop for guests to enjoy a bite along the water’s edge.” BoardWalk Bakery case Disney also announced that a new sweets shop called The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers will be opening on the BoardWalk in 2023, as well as a new coffee shop that will be located inside Disney’s BoardWalk Inn’s lobby.
