We try a LOT of delicious and tasty eats and treats at Disney World. It’s kind of our whole schtick! But there are some eats that aren’t so delicious.

That’s right, today we’re talking about the TURKEY LEG. Okay, okay, so maybe this hunk o’ meat isn’t all bad. In fact, the Turkey Leg has some DIE HARD fans. So, despite the fact that this snack is NOT our team’s favorite and tends to be voted off the island by our readers, we thought it deserves a NEW REVIEW!

You can snag jumbo Turkey Legs at a number of spots around Disney World. This time, we swung by Prince Eric’s Village Market in Magic Kingdom to pick up our $14.49 snack. Bonus! It comes with chips!

As you can see, Turkey Legs are HUGE. These snacks are easily shareable and could even serve as a meal for someone who’s looking for a salty, meaty, filling eat.

Flavor-wise, our leg was very, VERY smoky and meaty in the same way a fatty piece of bacon is. We took a huge bite on the outside and almost immediately hit the gristle past the layer of meat.

If you like super salty, meaty flavors, we could see how a Turkey Leg could be a go-to! However, it also has a challenging texture between the gristle and the fattiness of the meat.

Overall, we have to stand by our Turkey Leg stance — it’s not for us. But, it IS for some people. After all, Disney World sells about 2 MILLION pounds of turkey from Turkey Legs in a year. So, if your Disney World trip isn’t complete without a handheld chunk of meat, go get that Turkey Leg!
