Disney4me
It’s FINALLY time! Train! The Walt Disney World Railroad is reopening after being closed since 2018. The train got a bit of a makeover, including a new narration and a new route that just so happens to go under Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction — TRON Lightcycle Run. We got the chance to climb aboard the train, and now we’re showing you what it’s like to go through the TRON tunnel on the train in Magic Kingdom. We climbed aboard the train and couldn’t wait to see what was new! Looking sharp! The first thing we noticed was how close the train is to the TRON structure. Even if you aren’t riding TRON, you can still get an pretty good view from your train car. Look how close you’ll get! #TRON #mediaevent pic.twitter.com/ey0kGZDAK0 — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) December 23, 2022 But then, it was finally time for the main event — heading over to go through the TRON tunnel! Up until now, we’ve only been able to get a peek at this tunnel from the PeopleMover and from over by the Barnstormer. But this time around, we got to go through it. Through the tunnel we go… Inside TRON! …and out the other side! There wasn’t a whole lot to see inside the tunnel, but there were a couple of windows through which you can spot parts of the TRON coaster. We’re inside the tunnel under TRON! #mediaevent pic.twitter.com/LEJtYfrMea — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) December 23, 2022 We could see a few details at TRON, like the interior of the track system, the overhead cover, and even some pretty flowers underneath. A view of the interior of TRON Lightcycle Run from the Walt Disney Railroad train We even got an up-close-and-personal look at some car testing. I spy TRON testing! #mediaevent pic.twitter.com/V5rQsQ5cxk — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) December 23, 2022 We’re so thrilled that the Walt Disney World Railroad is open again, and we’re even more excited to get a new look at TRON. Disney shared the coaster will be opening in spring 2023, but we’ll let you know when we get an official opening date. Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news and more!
