Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration is officially over soon, on March 31st.

But that 50th Cinderella Castle is SO PRETTY

After that, we’ll be saying goodbye to a lot of things, including the Harmonious nighttime show in EPCOT and the Disney Enchantment fireworks in Magic Kingdom. But what makes us really sad is the food we’ll have to say goodbye to — and WE ARE NOT READY. 😢

Some of the 50th anniversary treats were SO iconic that we’re secretly hoping they get permanently added to some menus. We’re not sure that they won’t, but for now, we’re preparing ourselves for missing these treats when they’re gone. So here are the 50th anniversary snacks we’ll mourn the most!

The Tropical Serenade

The Tropical Serenade at Magic Kingdom’s Aloha Isle stole our hearts during the 50th anniversary Celebration. It’s a Pineapple-Orange-Guava Juice, Coconut Soft-serve, and an Upside-down Pineapple Cake Pop, and IT IS JUST SO GOOD. Yes, it’s a Pog Juice Dole Whip, and that is EVERYTHING.

That POG Juice mixed with Coconut Dole Whip is a combo that we’ll miss FOREVER. It was one of the most refreshing and flavorful things we’d had over the past 18 months.

Adventureland Colada

Over at Skipper Canteen, we fell in love with the Adventureland Colada in Magic Kingdom. It’s a drink made with Dole Whip Pineapple with Coconut Cream and Passion Fruit and garnished with a Pineapple Slice. Again, the DOLE Whip snacks during the 50th anniversary celebration have just been SO GOOD.

It’s like drinking a non-alcoholic pina colada, which we think would appeal to just about EVERYONE. It’s a MUST for coconut AND Dole Whip fans.

50th Celebration Cupcake

Okay, so this is actually a DFB favorite treat that got a fabulous 50th anniversary makeover, so it might possibly be available in its classic form. The 50th Celebration Cupcake at Karamell-Küche in EPCOT is the Salted Caramel Cupcake made with made of a dark chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream frosting on top. It’s decorated with celebration sprinkles, a drizzle of caramel, and a milk chocolate “50” icon.

The salted buttercream with the dense cake is always a combo we’ll root for, so we’re rooting that it will just revert to the Salted Caramel Cupcake when the celebration ends. But we did like that addition of the chocolate coin on top — it made it look so fancy!

Here’s our review!

Lemon Chiffon Cake

So Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT turned it UP for the 50th anniversary and delivered two delicious cakes, but the Lemon Chiffon Cake was a standout! It’s a Lemon Chiffon Cake with Blueberry Mousse. Can you say YUM? It was a very light and delicate dessert but still managed to pack some great flavors.

Such a pretty cake!

This one was a big win for us because we LOVE lemon, and we’re going to be very sad to see it go.

50th Celebration Ice Cream Sandwich

We were already in love with the ice cream sandwiches from Dino-Bite Snacks in Animal Kingdom, but the location really went all out for its 50th Celebration Ice Cream Sandwich.  It’s Vanilla Ice Cream sandwiched between two House-Made Double Chocolate Chip Cookies, dunked in glittery Celebration Sprinkles, and topped with a 50th Anniversary Medallion.

50th Celebration Ice Cream Sandwich

There was just something EXTRA special about this ice cream sandwich, especially the way those double chocolate chip cookies melded so well with the vanilla ice cream. The sprinkles were also a lot of fun. We’ll still be able to get ice cream sandwiches at this location, but they won’t quite be the same.

50th Celebration Petit Cake

Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs is always creating some beautiful petit cakes, but its 50th Celebration Petit Cake blew all other cakes OUT of the water. It’s a Vanilla Chiffon Cake with Celebration Blue Mousse, Blueberry Jam, and Lemon Curd and it is one of the most gorgeous things we’ve ever seen.

But this isn’t just a pretty cake — it’s also a tasty one with lots of great fruit flavor and a mousse with the PERFECT texture. It’s a pricey snack, but this is one of those things where you just have to say YOLO.

Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie

The Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie that’s available at Backlot Express and Fairfax Fare is one of our favorite 50th anniversary treats. It’s described as a “gooey toffee and toasted coconut blondie with salted caramel buttercream and festive gold nuggets.” Fancy, yes? Tasty? Also, yes!

Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie

This thing is HUGE, so it’s good for sharing (if you want to share). It had a nice balance of sweetness and we loved how the toffee filling complimented the coconut blondie. If we were going to beg Disney World to keep one 50th anniversary treat, this might be it!

These won’t be the only treats going away, though — we’ve got a full list of all the treats that might just disappear forever (although some are already gone!). So if there are some treats you’d like to have again — or you  have some you haven’t tried, you don’t have very long to eat them. Now, there IS a chance, some of these will stick around (like the Salted Caramel Cupcake at Karamel Kuche — we expect it to go back to its classic form), but there are no guarantees!

WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! How do you choose (we don’t want to choose but will blow our budget on Day 1 otherwise)? We’ve got you covered! We have reviewed nearly EVERY snack available at Disney World, and we’ve written a series of DFB Guides about them!
