Welcome to the Grand Floridian!

Spending some well-deserved time resting and relaxing at your Disney World hotel pool can recharge and get you ready for the next day of fun. There are so many incredibly themed pools around Disney World, but this is the pool-hopping rule everyone forgets!

Disney World is home to so many incredible hotels with immersive theming, delicious restaurants, and of course — extremely fun pools. But, there’s one very important rule you might not know or have forgotten about when it comes to Disney World — you cannot pool hop from hotel to hotel. Typically, the resorts are home to multiple pools anyway so you might get a choice of oasis, but it entirely depends on where you’re staying.

But, since we’re friends, we’re going to let you in on a little secret. Okay, it’s not really a secret, but it is good information to know when you’re planning your trip. You can actually pool hop in Disney World — but only at specific hotels.

…but, you’re also welcome to visit Port Orleans — Riverside, where you’ll find Ol’ Man Island. It’s home to a large pool, a spa, a kiddie pool, a wading pool, and a short but fun water slide. The pools and water slide are open all day and lifeguards are normally on duty during most pool hours.

Just because you’re staying at a Value Resort doesn’t mean you don’t get some stellar perks — and if you have an upcoming trip planned for any of the three All-Star Resorts on property, you’re in luck. No matter which All-Star Resort you might be staying at (Sports, Music, or Movies) you can visit any of the All-Star pools! At All-Star Music, there are the Calypso and Piano Pools, All-Star Movies has the Fantasia and Duck Pond Pools, and at All-Star Sports, you’ll find the Surfboard Bay and Grand Slam Pools.

And, folks who stay at Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resorts can have their choice of pools at both of these resorts, too! For those looking for some leisurely hangs, you can check out the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove Pools. But, best pool at Yacht & Beach Club — and quite possibly all of Disney World — is Stormalong Bay. It features a sand-bottom pool, pirate ship slide, and a lazy river.

So, while pool-hopping isn’t really a thing in Disney World save for a few exceptions, every hotel has at least one pool and most have multiple, so you’re never too far from some fun in the sun. For the latest Disney World planning info, tips, and news, be sure to stay tuned to DFB!
