Disney4me
Disney World is magical and awesome and all things good. Cinderella Castle But it’s also a place where some pretty disgusting things happen. Trust us, we’re in Disney World every single day, and there are a few super gross things that we bear witness to on the regular. We’re here to share with you those super gross things, just to give you something to think about the next time you choose to leave your hand sanitizer at home. Let’s talk about it! Here are 10 of the super disgusting things that happen in Disney World every single day. 1. Kids Spread Germs Here, There, and Everywhere Every day, we watch children sneeze, cough, chew on, spit on, and lick random things at Disney World. Dumbo Chains? Chomp. Handle bars? Cough. The calf of the person in front of you? Slurp. Yes. That happened to one of our team members. While it’s super awesome to see the little kiddos experiencing all Disney World has to offer, we always keep our hand sanitizer close by in case we do need to touch handrails or any other surface that might have lots of germs on it. 2. Code V A Code V is Cast Member language for when someone tosses their cookies. Yep, it’s vomit. Sunset Boulevard It happens every single day. Someone out there has hurled all over your favorite attraction and you don’t even know it. Luckily, Cast Members clean it up and sanitize everything, but it’s still not super fun to think about. 3. Code H A Code H is even worse. It’s Cast Member language for when someone poops on a ride. Or is changing a diaper and gets poo all over a surface. Slinky Dog Dash OR when a parent throws a dirty diaper into a ride queue. It’s hard to believe it, but this happens regularly enough that Cast Members needed a name for it. 4. 5-Second Rule Each day, we see grown adults utilize the five-second rule at Disney World. Don’t eat off the floor! Yep. We watch someone drop food and then pick it right back up and eat it. Listen, we know that the Disney World food is pricy, but please don’t eat off the ground. 5. Cooling Towel Mildew Let us give you some advice. When using cooling towels, you should really let them dry before you stuff them in your bag. Let them dry! Otherwise, you’ll walk around smelling like mildew. It’s not pleasant for those around you. We have to smell this smell every single day in the parks. Ugh! Bring a clip to attach the towel to your bag so it’s not stuffed inside, or you can bring along a Ziploc bag to keep that smell locked up tight. 6. PDA We see more PDA in Disney World than we did in high school, and that’s really saying something. Mickey and Minnie! PLEASE. Don’t make us all bear witness to your love and affection when we’re all just trying to get on Soarin’. 7. Making Anything and Everything a Changing Table Listen, folks. If you need to change your kid’s diaper, there are lots of changing tables available in the nearest restroom. There are also Baby Care Centers in each of the parks that’ll work as well! Changing Tables The quick service table, ride queue, and top of the trash can aren’t ideal places for a diaper change. Unfortunately, we see this happen all the time! 8. Barefoot Rainy Day Adventures Almost every time it rains, we see someone take off their shoes and go barefoot so that their shoes don’t get wet. Keep those shoes on, folks. This doesn’t affect us at all, so maybe we should mind our own business. But those poor feet! You’re gonna get the Mickey Mouse version of athlete’s foot. Poor unfortunate soles. 9. Trash Can Dining We’ll admit it. We’ve done this. But we didn’t like it. A prime dining spot for many Sometimes, you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do and use the top of a trash can as a table. When there aren’t any tables available close by, sometimes this seems like the only option! However, we don’t want to think about all the germs hanging out right next to our food. 10. Being Mean to Cast Members Sadly, one of the most common disgusting things we see is folks being mean to Cast Members. Cast Members creating magic How sad! These folks show up each and every day to help make vacations magical. Show some kindness and understanding! They’re human, too. Whew! That’s enough yuck for one post.
