Disney4me
Beignets are a great option whether you get them inside or outside of the Disney Parks and hotels. Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom We find it hard to resist the fluffy, sugary pastries, whether they’re shaped like Mickey or not! Now that it’s February, Disney World is now celebrating Black History Month with Celebrate Soulfully — a month-long celebration of Black culture and history that brings unique entertainment and delicious dishes to the parks. When Disney announced that BEIGNETS would be among this year’s food lineup in Magic Kingdom for Celebrate Soulfully, we knew where we’d be on February 1st. At Golden Oak Outpost in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland, you can get Tiana’s Famous Beignets from now until March 1st. They’re $6.99, and are croissant-style beignets, served with a dusting of powdered sugar and a side of strawberry sauce. Tiana’s Famous Beignets These bad boys look absolutely delicious. We’re also very intrigued by the strawberry sauce. Some pairings just make sense in our minds — and this is one of them. Will they live up to the dreams we’ve been having about them? Let’s find out. They. Look. AWESOME. When we took a bite, the flavor and texture was reminiscent of a lightly-sweetened croissant, not a traditional beignet. However, this is NOT a bad thing! Let’s DIG IN shall we? pic.twitter.com/scejevwpTx — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) February 1, 2024 They’re delicious, warm, flaky bites that are even MORE delicious when dipped in the strawberry sauce. Ok, dipped in the strawberry sauce, these are incredible! The strawberry sauce alone is worth the trip! pic.twitter.com/RPNV4mU5Wu — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) February 1, 2024 The sauce actually reminds us a LOT of the Strawberry Soup that you used to be able to grab at 1900 Park Fare. IT’S JUST LIKE STRAWBERRY SOUP We’d honestly say that these beignets are worth it just for the sauce. The beignets are good on their own, but when dipped, they’re a GAME CHANGER. We’d recommend this to anyone who loves and misses Strawberry Soup as much as we do, or who loves beignets but doesn’t necessarily get offended if it’s not a traditional beignet. YUM On the other hand, if you strongly prefer traditional beignets, you might not like the texture of these. They are truly more of a croissant beignet, and that’s just not everyone’s cup of tea. With the sauce As far as value goes, we felt that we got quite a bit of food for the near $7 we spent. We’d totally go back and get them again before the month is over, and we recommend that you head to Golden Oak Outpost to get them too — while you still can!
