When you visit Disney World, there are rules that you need to follow as a guest.

You should know the rules when you visit Disney World.

Some of these rules are pretty well-known. Balloons are not allowed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for the safety of the animals. You can’t bring alcoholic beverages into the parks. You can’t wear full character costumes to the parks unless you’re attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. But did you know that there are MORE rules about what you can and can’t wear inside Disney World?

Yes, believe it or not, Disney World does have a dress code. You must wear “proper attire” when visiting the parks. That means shoes and shirts must be worn at all times. Disney also asks visitors to “use your discretion and common sense” with what they wear to the parks because the environment is family-friendly.

So what does Disney consider inappropriate attire? Well, one thing that you need to know is that you can’t wear a skirt or dress that drags on the ground. So if you’ve got an extra long dress, skirt, cloak, or anything else, you’ll need to make sure it doesn’t touch the ground when you wear it. Of course, this is for your safety as something like that could easily get stepped on by other guests, as well as caught in things.

Make sure your kids’ princess dresses don’t drag on the ground!

Disney also considers the following clothing as inappropriate, in case you were wondering: clothing with objectionable language or material, excessively torn clothing, clothing that exposes a little too much skin for a family-friendly environment, and objectionable tattoos.

Of course, when you’re packing for your trip, you’ll also want to keep an eye on the weather and pack accordingly. Make sure to bring rain gear, too, because sudden rainstorms pop up in Disney World all the time. Believe it or not, you may even need to pack a sweater if you’re visiting Disney World in the winter months.
