As we are nearing the end of the Festival of the Arts and the beginning of the Flower and Garden Festival, we have our eyes set even further into the future.

2023 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

We love every EPCOT festival, but one has clearly become our favorite, for obvious reasons. The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is literally everything we dream about — food. An entire festival for food is our forté. But we’re wondering if our favorite festival will look a little differently this year. The 2024 Food & Wine Festival might be the BEST ONE YET for four important reasons: it could be even longer than usual, it might be the FIRST to utilize the NEW festival areas in EPCOT, food and drink demos and seminars may return, and we might get some all-new entertainment!

As you may be familiar with, EPCOT has been going through a massive transformation for several years now. While it was supposed to be completed at the end of 2023, some things have carried over into 2024. World Celebration has opened with World Celebration Gardens, but two things are still being completed — CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza.

The two CommuniCore locations are supposed to serve as a festival headquarters. They will be central locations for the festival, where everyone can gather. Disney has shared that CommuniCore Hall will host demos and seminars in kitchen and bar settings (kind of like they used to do back before the 2020s). CommuniCore Plaza will be an outdoor space that will host concerts and other entertainment. So what does this mean for this year’s Food and Wine Festival?

Communicore Construction — mid-December 2023

We don’t currently have dates for the 2024 Food and Wine Festival, but we do know that the Flower and Garden Festival, the festival before Food and Wine, is ending earlier than expected, on May 27th. It is possible that the Food and Wine Festival could start earlier, be longer, and be the first festival to use the CommuniCore spaces.

Construction is still ongoing over at CommuniCore Hall, but there’s a chance it will be done by Food and Wine Festival time which means the festival could possibly be longer (since Flower and Garden is done earlier this year), and it would likely showcase food and drink demos and seminars! Plus, if they open CommuniCore Plaza for the festival, we could get some all-new concerts and entertainment. This could possibly be the best Food and Wine Festival yet!
