Disney4me
We’re stopping by a newly reopened spot at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival today — The Land Cart! The Land Cart The 2024 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival has officially started and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, unique topiaries to check out, merchandise to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. The Land Cart, which has been closed for several months, finally REOPENED on the first day of the festival and is serving up some unique and fresh items — let’s check it out! Menu The Land Cart has a few special items for this year’s festival and is an “additional location” when it comes to the food booths! Sure, you’ll find the basic Mickey Pretzel here but it’s the special items we’re checking out today. Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus with cucumbers, olives, and multigrain crackers. This dish is $5 and is also eligible as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan. This is literally like one of those Kid’s packs you get. We will say that the olives and cucumber were fresh. The crackers were sesame crackers with a nice saltiness with a crisp crunch. Roasted Red Pepper Hummus with cucumbers, olives, and multigrain crackers This was a solidly good hummus, though. We really liked it, but this isn’t anything extraordinary. Maybe a good option if you’re looking for a light and fairly healthy snack! Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Next, we checked out the Açaí Parfait with Greek yogurt, fresh berries, and granola This dish is priced at $4.75 and is also a snack credit on the Dining Plan. The granola comes in a little separate container. We will warn you that this melted fast on us! Açaí Parfait It’s sweet and smooth and could be a great breakfast option if you’re looking for something not too heavy with some nutritional value. Again, though, this isn’t anything groundbreaking or new. It’s melting And finally, there’s the Plant-based Strawberry Fruit Bar on the menu. This item is $6 and is a snack credit on the Dining Plan. This is just a regular packaged strawberry bar, although we did like the taste of it. Strawberry Fruit Bar This thing melted, though, before we even got it out of the package. If you plan on ordering it, you’ll need to eat it fast. Drinks There is one festival drink here — the Florida Smoothie for $6.25 is made with Pineapple, Orange, and Mango. So we’ve got what we’re going to call a POM smoothie, which is like a POG smoothie, but with mango instead of guava. This baby is FRUITY and a lot of fun. If you like fruity treats or sweet smoothies, this is for you. And if you’re a big fan of POG juice, we think you should give this a try. It’s very similar but with a fun little twist. We also think the presentation was top-notch. Florida Smoothie Warning, though: this is going to leave a sugary taste in your mouth FOREVER. But overall, this is the perfect thing to order when it’s hot out. We’re not positive that this drink will stick around after the Flower & Garden Festival ends in late May. Although the Land Cart is normally open year-round, it seems like this smoothie might be festival-exclusive. But we’ll be watching for updates! OVERALL If you’re looking for a quick and fresh bite at the Flower & Garden Festival, stop by The Land Cart and check out the menu! These are some good options if you’re looking for lighter healthier fare or even if you have some pickier eaters in your group. Note, though, that there’s nothing super special about the offerings here and some of it is just literally pre-packaged food. If you get anything at The Land Cart, we’d say go for the smoothie, especially if you’re visiting the festival on a hot day. Click here to see FULL reviews of EVERY. SINGLE.
