Disney4me
There are two times a year when we can’t WAIT to visit Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort One of those times is during the holiday season when the hotel puts up its elaborate — and life-sized– gingerbread house. The other time of the year is NOW, just before Easter, when the hotel puts out its amazing chocolate Easter egg display. Well, the day has arrived, and that display is NOW UP! Seriously, just WAIT until you see some of these gorgeous eggs MADE BY HAND. Prepare to be amazed because this year’s Easter egg display could be the best one yet. Seriously, the amount of artistry and creativity it takes to prepare these eggs just blows us away. Check out these amazing details on this Beauty and the Beast egg. How beautiful is this thing? We just can’t even! The ROSE!!! This Moana Kakamora display is defying gravity! Kakamora There’s even a display dedicated to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. It’s a reimagined version of the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre as an egg! One of our fave rides! What’s most impressive about this are the little details, like Donald’s webbed footprints on the Walk of Fame. The level of detail! Of course, we might have a favorite egg here because it’s dedicated to Disney snacks! Okay, this one wins; everyone can go home now. Disney snacks egg Um, they even made little Mickey pretzels and turkey legs for this thing! ICONIC. LOOK!!! Okay, we lied — the most impressive egg in this display is this stunning Alice in Wonderland egg. Yes, it looks like a clock, but guess what? It really is a clock. It WORKS. Like it can tell us the time. The clock WORKS The other side is made the same way — with a working clock! HOW DID THEY DO THAT? Mind blown We could spend all day telling you about all the amazing eggs, but we encourage you to go see the display for yourself if you have a chance. It’s finally time for the Grand Floridian Easter displays! Which of these eggs is your favorite? pic.twitter.com/gM4SN0ejtN — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) March 3, 2024 But wait, there’s more! Because The Grand Cottage is also now open…and you know what that means. The Grand Cottage It means we’re going to grab some Easter snacks!!! Here’s a peek at the menu. Menu We grabbed a few of these treats — you know, for science. The Fruity Cereal Pop for $7.25 is pretty big and exactly what you expect from a crisped rice treat made from fruity cereal. The Disney rice cereal treats ALWAYS slap because they’re extra gooey and marshmallowy. Fruity! It’s sweet, it’s chewy, it’s everything. This one is dipped in white chocolate on the back, too! It’s big enough to share, but we didn’t because IT’S ALL FOR US. However, ours broke off the stick while we were taking photos, but that’s probably only a concern if you plan on twirling it around a bit. Back We also grabbed the Bunny Pop Flower Pot for $15. Now, you get a VARIETY of treats in one with this — a milk dark chocolate “flower pot” filled with Jelly Belly jelly beans, as well as three chocolate bunny lollipops (milk, white, and dark chocolate). The pot was okay for a while, but when we took it outside, it started to melt. Oops again! So it probably won’t travel well. Bunny Pot Flower Pot We ate all three because, well, we HAD to. Each had some nonpareils on one side, which added a nice crunch. The chocolate was pretty good quality, but nothing that stood out. We feel that this is a little pricey at $15, given what you get. It’s cute It is SUPER cute, though. This new Bunny Pop Flower Pot is available at the Grand Floridian Grand Cottage now until April 1st! Grab it for $15 pic.twitter.com/KT6XbaGF2d — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) March 3, 2024 We do have a word of warning if you’re thinking about driving to the Grand Floridian to see the Easter display. Here’s the thing: we were not allowed to park at the resort and were sent to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where we had to take the Monorail to the Grand Floridian. So keep that in mind.
