Disney4me
Something BIG is coming back to Disneyland! Disneyland Last year, Fantasmic was put on hiatus at Disneyland Park after the Maleficent dragon caught fire mid-show. Since then, Disney has been reworking the show a bit in anticipation of its reopening on May 24th, 2024. And now, right before the show returns, we’ve got a sneak peek! Disney Parks posted a first look at the show on Instagram in a cute little video. It has snippets of some of the scenes you’ll get to see, set to the iconic Fantasmic music. Via @disneyparks on Instagram We got to see clips of some of the most iconic scenes from the show, including the Steamboat Willie finale with many fan-favorite characters like the seven dwarfs, Ariel, Belle and the Beast, and Rapunzel and Flynn. Via @disneyparks on Instagram If you’re a princess fan, you’ll be happy to know that the stunning rafts scene with the princesses and princes dancing on boats will be coming back as well! Disney shared clips of Belle and Beast, as well as Rapunzel and Flynn from this section of the show. We can’t wait to watch it in person again. While Disney World’s version of Fantasmic takes place in its own theater in Hollywood Studios, Disneyland’s Fantasmic is set on a stage on Tom Sawyer Island, with the boats and rafts sailing the Rivers of America. It’s right there in the middle of the park! @disneyparks Some imagination, huh? #Disney #DisneyParks #DisneylandResort #Disneyland #Fantasmic #MickeyMouse #SorcererMickey #SorcererHat #Fireworks #Show ♬ original sound – Disney Parks The show will feature “refreshed moments” during its live performances, as well as a new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent, which will feature updated special effects, and the return of the Peter Pan scene that had been replaced by Pirates of the Caribbean in the 2010s. The show will still feature sequences based on popular Disney films, including Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, and Tangled. Via @disneyparks on Instagram If you’d like to get reserved seating for an upcoming showing of Fantasmic at Disneyland Park, you’ll be happy to know that dining packages are returning! You can reserve one of these packages at a participating restaurant and get special seating during the show, plus a delicious meal. It’s a win/win scenario!
