Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Celebrities have been visiting Disney parks since Disneyland first opened in 1955. From heads of state and Hollywood hotshots to teeny-bop icons and sports figures, all have paid a visit to Disney’s parks and resorts. Recently, a member of one of rock & roll’s most iconic bands took some time off from their tour to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth. Ronnie Wood, longtime guitarist for the Rolling Stones, shared a photo on his Instagram account that he and his family recently paid a visit to the Magic Kingdom. Source: @RonnieWood Instagram Wood captioned the post, “Thank you Disney & Mickey @disneyparks @waltdisneyworld, the rides were a tonic! #tron #spacemountain ~ we had a blast you keep me rockin’ #waltdisneyworld” Wood, who was previously a member of The Faces, has been a member of the Rolling Stones since replacing original guitarist Mick Taylor’s spot in 1975. He and the rest of the band were in town for the Central Florida date of their Hackney Diamonds world tour. Amazing night in Florida! After all, according to a long-running rumor, the Rolling Stones were one of the bands considered for the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster — along with U2 — before Disney eventually worked out an agreement with Aerosmith. Of course, he wouldn’t have actually been able to ride the coaster right now, given that it’s still in refurbishment, but hey, not even Ronnie Wood can always get what he wants.
