Disney4me
Nighttime entertainment in Disney World is something you should NOT miss (even though we occasionally will tell you to skip fireworks for rides, and yes, we’re ironic like that). The problem with watching nighttime entertainment, though…involves all the other people who have the exact same idea. Nighttime fireworks bring serious crowds, and sometimes it’s just not worth navigating the crowds — or it’s not even POSSIBLE to navigate the crowds — to get good fireworks views. Luminous at EPCOT But you do have other options. Some you may know about, like booking a meal at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort to see the Happily Ever After fireworks in Magic Kingdom. But you also have some options to catch the EPCOT nighttime show, and one of those is in a place you might not expect! EPCOT’s nighttime show is Luminous The Symphony of Us, and it features fireworks, fountains, lasers, and cool lighting effects in the center of World Showcase Lagoon. Disney describes the show as a “dazzling pageant” that “comes together to remind us that we are more alike than we are different.” But getting a good seat for the show can be tricky. What if we told you that you didn’t even have to GO to EPCOT to see it? Luminous We’re going to tell you what to do instead, and it might just blow your mind. You’re going to want to head on over to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (which is on the Skyliner), and have dinner at Sebastian’s Bistro. You’ll want to be in the restaurant during Luminous’ showtime (you can check that in the My Disney Experience app). Sebastian’s Bistro You’ll get to watch the show while having a nice meal away from the crowds in World Showcase. Don’t believe it? We’ve got photographic evidence! Luminous from Sebastian’s Bistro What makes this work so well is that you can even BE in EPCOT and easily head over to Caribbean Beach by hopping on the Skyliner at EPCOT and taking it directly to the hotel. It’s also a good way to get dinner and a show. Dinner and a show We’ll also tell you that Sebastian’s Bistro is one of those Disney World restaurants we think is SO underrated. You’ll find a family-style dinner menu inspired by Latin and Caribbean food, but we’ll also tell you the cocktails are AMAZING, too. The food is solid, but let us share a BIG secret with you: the dessert here is possibly even better than the dessert at ‘Ohana. No, really! It’s similar to the famous ‘Ohana bread pudding, but the addition of coconut takes it up a notch.
