Recommended Posts

It takes a lot of work to keep you updated on the latest and greatest Disney news. But here at DFB, we love what we do!

Cinderella Castle

We’ve been doing this for over 15 years (!!!), and not only has The Walt Disney Company changed, but so has Disney Food Blog. So, to celebrate our 15th birthday — and all our years of bringing you the most up-to-date information (AND to battle the LACK of an EPCOT festival this summer) we’re throwing our own FESTIVAL!

We Have Some HEATED Debates

Although we’re all friends here at DFB and get along a majority of the time, that doesn’t mean we don’t still get into some seriously heated arguments from time to time. In fact, you may even remember a couple because the debates were SO intense, that we had to involve the general public to help prove our points. Take the Happy Meal Debate of 2023, for example.

It was a simple question, yet the DFB team was divided. Which reigns supreme: a Cheeseburger Happy Meal or a Chicken McNugget Happy Meal? Several of our writers and reporters stood firmly in the Team Cheeseburger camp, while others fiercely defended Team Chicken Nuggets. We quickly realized this debate couldn’t be settled in-house. So we turned to our readers.

And then, there was the Pop Tart Problem of Early 2024. All we wanted to do was determine which was better: the Frosted or Unfrosted Pop Tart? We couldn’t do it ourselves because our debate quickly devolved into a meme-sharing battle, so we once again had to turn to our readers to set us straight.

We Have Late Night Parties

Okay, this one is slightly an exaggeration because we’re technically working while we’re having these late-night parties, and we’re all in our respective homes. But, during after-hours events that happen at Disney World and Disneyland, we’re typing the night away to bring you coverage of everything you need to know. Depending on where the party is located and where in the world our team is located — it might make for a pretty late night.

When Oogie Boogie Bash rolls around at Disneyland or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party comes about at Magic Kingdom, we send our reporting team to cover the event — but we also have writers and editors who stay up late to bring you everything you need to know!

We Have a Book Club

While most of us live scattered all across the United States from one another, we try to make it a point to still spend time together outside of the virtual “office.” So, one of our writers (Thanks, JP!) had the great idea to start a book club! It’s open to anyone on our team who wants to join and we meet virtually once a month.

Disney Books

We share about our current and past reads, and what we’re looking forward to reading; and eventually, the meetings usually devolve into discussions about things that have absolutely nothing to do with books — but that’s okay!

We also do Furbaby Fridays on Slack where we share the latest photos of our pets and their antics!

We Start Celebrating Holidays Early. Like, REALLY Early

Disney may start celebrating Halloween in August, but we’re usually prepped and in holiday mode long before that. We do our best to be on top of whatever announcements Disney might make about holiday parties, food menus, festival happenings, and more, and that means starting to think about holidays and other events long before the thoughts even cross your mind.

As you might expect, it can be a little tricky to get into holiday mode so early, but we have some hacks! We just pop on a holiday playlist, light a festive candle, and call it a day.

We Go To Extremes To Help You Plan

Sure, you know all about the DFB Guide and how helpful it can be — but it’s the extreme things like taking two Skyliner rides, a bus, and 17,000 steps to find bread pudding news for you that might make you see how unbelievable things can be here at DFB. Or, literally counting steps from different hotel rooms to find out which is the closest to the Skyliner at Disney World. No matter what, we couldn’t do what we do without you!

We’ll be sure to keep working hard and bringing you all the Disney news and more you need to know, so don’t forget to stay tuned to Disney Food Blog — and thanks for sticking around for all these years!
