One of Our FAVORITE Pizzas in Disney World Is at a Restaurant You’ve Probably NEVER Heard Of

If you’ve ever had pizza at Disney World, you know that it’s not all created equally.

Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza

There’s the infamous “puffy pizza” served at places like PizzeRizzo, Pizzafari, and Catalina Eddie’s, and some of the best slices can be found at Via Napoli in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion. But, if you ask us, one of the BEST pizzas in all of Disney World is hiding at a restaurant you’ve probably never even heard of!

Some of our favorite foods in all of Disney World are hiding at the hotels, and the Amare Flatbread is certainly no different! You’ll find this shining beacon of deliciousness at Amare, a Mediterranean-inspired table service restaurant at the Swan Reserve Hotel. The Swan Reserve is the newest hotel to join the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and while they’re not owned by Disney, you can still find many of the same perks here — including the food!

Amare Flatbread

The Amare Flatbread is made with leek, potato, lardon (fatty bacon), roasted black pepper, and Gruyere cheese. We know what you’re thinking — potatoes on a pizza?! But just bear with us. This is actually a super popular and common type of flatbread in Europe called a Flammekuchen. In fact, our fearless leader AJ used to eat them all the time when she lived in Switzerland — which is probably why it’s one of her favorites over here, too!

Amare Flatbread

The combination of the sharpness from the leeks and the saltiness from the lardon — plus the crispy, thinly sliced potatoes, and rich Gruyere cheese — really make this flatbread stand out against the ol’ puffy pepperoni pizza you can find across the parks and hotels. Amare is an excellent restaurant at Disney World that we think people don’t talk about enough, so we’re here to sing its praises! See our full review here.

Plus, even though they’re not technically Disney World hotels, the Swan and Dolphin and Swan Reserve still let you enjoy some of the perks of staying at a Disney World hotel. We’re talking things like free transportation to the parks and Disney Springs, Early Entry, and, as of July 24th, being able to book Lightning Lane selections up to seven days before your arrival date.
