Disney4me
We know there are some fancy treats at Disney World that are fit for a princess, but you haven’t seen anything like these before, so buckle up. It’s time to celebrate World Princess Week once again, and Disney World is bringing us several treats inspired by some of our favorite characters. “Make It Pink, Make It Blue” Aurora Fruit Tart We tasted a few of these exclusive treats that just debuted around Disney World, and we can’t wait to share our thoughts! World Princess Week is officially happening at Disney World from August 25th through the 31st, and with the celebration across the parks and hotels comes one of our favorite parts — new treats! But, since Disney World knows how to really throw a regal party, they’re making some of these exclusive offerings available all month long. We knew to expect some limited-time treats, and now they’re finally here. Princess Tiana Of course, this meant we needed to start our quest through all of Disney World to search high and low (not really; we knew exactly where to go) to find some sweet treats, and we have to admit, it was quite the journey. Here’s a look at three new treats we tried! Guardian of the Dragon Gem NEW TREAT ALERT! This is the Guardian of the Dragon Gem ($6.29) from Creature Comforts! It’s in Disney World for the month (yes, the whole MONTH) of August for World Princess Week! pic.twitter.com/zHmdMw3iqn — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) August 1, 2024 We picked this “gem” up at Creature Comforts in Disney’s Animal Kingdom for $6.29. Guardians of the Dragon Gem The first flavor we encountered was from the mango mousse. It had great flavor and it tastes distinctly mango and fruity, however, it melts incredibly fast like truly gets mushy and gooey. Within the mango mousse is a lychee dragon fruit gel. This part’s texture is like a firmer jello, but we could see the dragon fruit and taste it as we took a bite, but we didn’t as powerful of a lychee flavor from it. The bottom of the treat is a coconut cake covered in something that looked and tasted like matcha powder to us, but that was sprinkled on top of the coconut flakes, which has its own distinct texture to it. The whole treat is topped with a blue dome built of a ridiculous amount of frosting for the decor which made it difficult to cut and eat. Cross section of the treat The one thing that really took us aback about it was that it sort of tastes like frosting you get out of a spray can. At the top was a chocolate sword that fell apart in the sun but had a beautiful presentation. Overall, it was a gorgeous treat, but it’s one we’d recommend to enjoy either inside or on a day that’s not terribly hot outside — oh, and eat quickly before it gets goopy! “Make it Pink, Make it Blue” Aurora Fruit Tart Here it IS! This is the “Make it Pink, Make it Blue" Aurora Fruit Tart ($7.29) from Le Petit Café! This wowed us! It’s got Diplomat Cream, Raspberry Mousse, Fresh Berries, a White Chocolate Crown! #WaltDisneyWorld pic.twitter.com/HmNVLVK7A8 — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) August 1, 2024 We ventured out to Le Petit Cafe at Disney’s Riviera Resort for this treat which cost us $7.29. It’s made of diplomat cream, raspberry mousse, fresh berries, and topped with a white chocolate crown. Back side of the tart This tart is built out of our wild(berry)-est dreams! It’s sweet and tangy, and when you get the parts where you pour out the special potion from the heart, which is actually a very sour citric acid, it’s pucker-worthy sour — but sooo worth it! The berries were fresh and a nice mix of both sweet with a little bit of tartness to them and the one diplomat cream was almost a vanilla bean flavor that had a hidden thin layer of raspberry jam between it and the crust layer of the tart. See the color change? A dollop of raspberry mousse that changes colors is on top. It’s small enough to provoke a reaction, but there’s not enough acid to completely change the whole thing, which results in a cool splattered pattern you can admire. Half of the tart The white chocolate crown didn’t stand a chance against the Florida heat, but it was quite tasty to add more sweet chocolate to counter all of the sour flavors at work. We thought this was an excellent treat and well worth its price for something so pretty and unusual! Rapunzel Ganache Pop This Rapunzel Ganache Pop is in Disney World too for World Princess Week (but we’re celebrating all month)! It’s dark chocolate, vanilla beans, and candied cherries covered in 65% dark chocolate for $7! pic.twitter.com/YgKqNUEvgn — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) August 1, 2024 We rounded out our “best day ever” as we headed over to The Ganachery at Disney Springs for this next treat. Here you can snag the Rapunzel Ganache Pop for $7 which is made of dark chocolate, vanilla beans, candied cherries, and covered in 65% dark chocolate! Yum is an understatement with this one! Rapunzel Ganache Pop Although we didn’t see the vanilla beans and candied cherries on or inside the pop, we DEFINITELY tasted them! At first we thought the cherry was a bit tart like a raspberry but then changed our minds as we were able to process the flavor a bit more. Our main complaint flavor-wise with this one is that the tartness of the cherry fruit almost overpowered the chocolate as a whole. Inside the pop! Overall, for the price, we’re pretty confident there are other treats that are more filling to to grab nearby that might leave a more lasting impression on you but we do have to admit this was beautiful to look at! This is only a handful of treats you can pick up if you’ll be visiting Disney World in the next few weeks. But, you’ll want to be quick because they’re only out for a limited time.
