Disney4me
When it comes to choosing where you’re going to eat on your Disney World vacation, the decision can be overwhelming. Cinderella Castle You’ve got fast food restaurants and sit-down ones, plus some with characters and even some with a show! But, how do you know which ones are really worth your money? Well, luckily for you — that’s where we come in! We’ve eaten at every Disney World restaurant, and we’d only go back to this one on two conditions. Be Our Guest Restaurant is a Magic Kingdom icon. This spot, as you may have guessed, is themed after Beauty and the Beast — more specifically, Beast’s castle. Its completely immersive setting is unlike any other, and it’s the reason why it is almost always a challenge for guests to snag an Advance Dining Reservation, even though the price is a whopping $70 per adult and $41 per kid. But, when it comes to getting the most bang for your buck — we think Be Our Guest needs to make these two changes to return it to its former glory. Be Our Guest You see, Be Our Guest previously featured a quick-service breakfast and lunch, then table-service for dinner. Breakfast and lunch were unique at Be Our Guest Restaurant as you could make Advanced Dining Reservations for what was a quick-service experience due to the location’s popularity. The Beast at Be Our Guest Restaurant For lunch, you could previously pre-order your meals using My Disney Experience. For those who chose not to pre-order their lunch, touch-screen, automated terminals were available to customize orders. For special dietary requests and cash orders, cashiers were also available. Once your order was placed (either online or via the My Disney Experience app in advance or at the restaurant), you would sit down and your order would be delivered to you on real tableware. But, when the restaurant reopened following the pandemic-related closures, this option did not return. Be Our Guest quick service menu Instead, you only have the table-service option now, and while you can still get lunch and dinner here — you’ll have to deal with a prix fixe menu…which brings us to our second condition. Be Our Guest would be SO much more enjoyable if Disney got rid of the set menu. You do still get to choose your meal, but in our experience, prix fixe meals are often not worth it — whether because the food itself isn’t great or there’s simply too much to eat. That’s A LOT of food! Don’t get us wrong — Be Our Guest is a must-do restaurant for some people and it’s clear to see why. It’s hard to beat dining in such an immersive environment where you truly feel transported into a Disney story like this. Plus, while the food may not be our favorite, we’ve certainly never had a bad meal here! And trust us — if Disney ever does bring back the quick-service style breakfast and lunch, you’ll be the first to know since you can count on the fact that we will be shouting it from the rooftops!
