Disney4me
Disney World brunch is MORE than just your standard plate of bacon and eggs. So let’s start your day off on the right foot with some of the BEST Disney World brunch dining on property! Mickey and Minnie Waffles If you’re one of those Disney vacation folks who thinks breakfast is the most IMPORTANT meal of the day, then you’ve come to the right place. But even if you’re not big on the breakfast scene, stick around. Because we’re gonna be looking at not just some of our FAVORITE places to dine for the A.M. at Disney World, but also some of the most convenient AND most unique offerings (that may change the way you look at brunch foods entirely). Yessiree Bob — we’re in BRUNCH territory now (which you are ALSO allowed to deem as the most important meal of the day. I fully give you permission) While some locations have brunch offerings all week long, many restaurants have weekend-specific brunches that you’ll need to plan into your schedule ahead of time. Grand Floridian Cafe Charming and regal, yet casual and chill — that’s Grand Floridian Cafe in a nutshell for ya! Grand Floridian Cafe is a table service restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner but also has a hearty menu of brunch options available until 2PM daily. Check In at Grand Floridian Cafe What’s on the menu? Pancakes, waffles, French toasts, Benedicts, and a couple of full entrees like the Steak and Eggs (with a side of cheesy hash brown casserole) (what did we say about carbs and cheese for breakfast? That’s right. The same concept applies to brunch. Remember that.) But there are TWO entrees here that REALLY take center stage. The first is the hand-breaded, Buttermilk-fried Chicken and Waffle with a Sriracha honey drizzle (which is one of the most FLAVORFUL brunch options out there. It’s sweet, it’s savory, it’s fluffy, it’s crispy. It’s happiness on a plate.) Chicken and Waffles And the second is the Grand Floridian Café Signature Burger — which is made of an Artisanal Burger with Brie, Bacon-Pepper Jam, Roasted Garlic Aïoli, and Arugula on a Seared Brioche Bun. And, yeah, I know that doesn’t SOUND very brunch-y, but it’s, like, the BEST option on the menu. And you can order it all day long. That’s one tasty burger The really nice perk of dining at Grand Floridian Cafe for brunch is that it’s relatively easy to get a reservation for — since it kinda gets overshadowed by the other offerings at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. SO even if you need to make a last-minute sit-down reservation somewhere, you’ll more than likely be able to make one here. Click HERE to Read our Latest Grand Floridian Cafe Review Look out! Here come all those specialty weekend brunch offerings I was talking about earlier! Raglan Road Irish Pub Raglan Road Irish Pub is located in Disney Springs and serves… exactly the type of offerings you’d think it’d serve: Irish Pub Food. Now, we’re big fans of eating Raglan Road’s bangers and mash and Shepherd’s Pie during lunch and dinner, but if you come here during the Rollicking Raglan Brunch served on Saturdays and Sundays, you’ll have a few different menu options to choose from, as well as specialty live entertainment and authentic Irish music for brunch AND a show! Raglan Road Brunch-y options include sweeter things — like the Pancakes Diaspora (made crème fraîche, maple syrup and mixed berry compote), and more savory things, too — like The Anglo Irish (made with Eggs benedict, sliced Irish ham, and wilted spinach — all on a brioche muffin topped with hollandaise). All This… And Eggs On Top Forewarning — this brunch CAN get rather loud with all the live entertainment. And that’s still a TON of fun… unless you’re looking for some nice-and-peaceful conversation between two gentlefolk. Then you might end up at Grand Floridian Cafe again. (Or someplace else. I just really like Grand Floridian Cafe.) Click HERE to Read Our Latest Raglan Road Review But this next brunch offering? I also really, really, REALLY like too. Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Rise ‘n Shine! Homecomin’ is one of many great restaurants in Disney Springs No seriously. You can hit up the Rise ‘n Shine Brunch at Homecomin’ in Disney Springs on Saturdays and Sundays — just like Raglan Road’s weekend brunch offerings. Ooooh — the competition is heating UP. LOTS of shining brunch starters and entrees here — like the Hush Puppy Benedict, the Fried Egg & Avocado Toast, and (if you REALLY love yourself) the fried chicken and doughnuts. There’s a lot of ham on top. You’ve also got a full menu of cocktails that stick with the southern charm of this restaurant — such as the Moonshine Mash (with watermelon-infused moonshine), the Sweet Tea Shine (also with moonshine), and the Strawberry Lemonade (oh, lookie there! More moonshine) Dragon fruit mojito The Homecomin’ brunch options stick around until 1PM before switching fully back to their regularly-scheduled lunch offerings for the day. House of Blues The Bayou Brunch from House of Blues joins the Disney Springs weekend offerings with breakfast burritos, the Pig Grits and Shrimp (which means bacon-wrapped shrimp, for all you meat fiends out there), the chicken biscuits and gravy, and several other hearty options to fill your stomach before a day of shopping around the Springs. House of Blues Along with brunch, you’ll also be able to listen to live music. You can check the House of Blues calendar on their website to find out who’s going to be playing (and when). Before the 2020 closures, House of Blues also offered a Gospel Brunch on Sundays — but that’s still currently unavailable. House of Blues Full Spread However, the House of Blues website states that this option should be returning some time in the future. Click HERE to Read Our Latest House of Blues Review What’s better than brunch? Brunch that offers FREE stuff. (Did that catch your attention?) The BOATHOUSE Apparently, weekends, brunch, and music go hand-in-hand around Disney Springs — because the Boathouse is following suit with The Captain’s Sing-a-Long Brunch. Now the Sing-a-Long Brunch is more limited than the last four options we’ve talked about — and is only available on Sundays. But WITH Sunday brunch comes things like Jumbo Lump Crabcakes Benedict, Belgian Waffles, and Avocado Toast. The BOATHOUSE But the BEST part about this brunch? If you wear a captain’s hat or a Boathouse shirt — you’ll get a FREE mimosa! That’s right— F-R-E-E mimosa! (And you know we’re ALL about the free stuff!). The Captain’s Sing-a-Long Brunch runs from 10AM-3PM, with dueling piano performances that play between 11AM-2PM. (So, yeah, it’s a party up in here, friends.) Click HERE to Read Our Latest BOATHOUSE Review Whispering Canyon Whispering Canyon Cafe is a table service restaurant offering bottomless skillets — but THIS time you’ve got a choice of THREE different offerings. Whispering Canyon You can order the Heritage — which will give you a standard variety of biscuits, bacon, waffles, eggs… you know the drill. You can also order the Carnivore — which will give you a BUNCH more meat-based options: like Maple-Chipotle Barbecued Slow-smoked Pork Ribs, Oak-smoked Beef Brisket, Barbecued Pulled Pork, and Citrus-Herb Chicken (which sounds like straight-up lunch to me, but maybe that’s what you’re trying to track down?) OR you can order the Lighter Side — which has Oatmeal, Fresh Fruit, Yogurt, Egg White-Spinach Frittata, Turkey Bacon, Turkey Sausage, Country Potatoes, and Mickey-shaped Waffles. Skillet Whispering Canyon Cafe also offers a la carte options if you don’t feel like sharing your waffles and oatmeal with the rest of the table. Mickey and Minnie Waffles Whispering Canyon is a solid option for families who are split between wanting a big breakfast or a big lunch — since both types of options can be found on the breakfast menu. Meaning while one person’s chomping away on their ham and cheese omelette, another person could be enjoying a hearty bison burger with a side of sweet potato fries. Click HERE to Read Our Latest Whispering Canyon Review Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill This is a spot at Disney Springs that can often get overlooked for flashier, fancier, or trendier spots. To be honest, even I forget about it sometimes. But you know what I can’t forget? BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS. Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill Yep, Wolfgang Puck’s offers Bottomless Mimosa for $25. Of course, there is a catch — there’s always a catch for something that is too good to be true, even in Disney World. You’ll get bottomless mimosas during a two-hour period. So, you’ll have two hours to drink $25+ worth of these bubbly cocktails before your tab expires. But still, I accept that challenge! Look at all those mushrooms! And while you’re guzzling your sparkling O.J., why not nosh on some outside-the-box brunch options? We’ve come to expect items like Shrimp and Grits and Chicken and Waffles, which you can definitely find here. But you can also get Scottish Salmon, Spaghetti, and Wild Mushroom Pizza, all for brunch! So why not? Lift your bottomless mimosa glass and toast the creative brunch thinking of Wolfgang Puck. Click HERE to Read Our Latest Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill Review Steakhouse 71 Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. We love it ALL at Steakhouse 71 in Disney’s Contemporary Resort. But we’re here for BRUNCH today — so let’s talk about what you’re gonna find here. You can also get several other alcoholic “wake-up calls” — like the Steakhouse Bloody Mary, the Tequila Sunrise, and the Bourbon Cold Brew. Curious Cold Brew And, of course, we’ve gotta talk about those hearty breakfast servings! You’re not gonna walk away hungry after ordering ANY of these entrees. In fact, they’ve got a whole breakfast FEAST — including Eggs Benedict, Scrambled Egg, Bacon, Sausage, Mickey-shaped Waffle, Bacon-Cheddar Grits, Breakfast Potatoes, and Fresh Fruit — practically anything your brunchin’ heart desires. Steakhouse 71 also has their seasonal pancakes — with rotating flavors like blueberry lemon, pumpkin, and strawberry chocolate chip. Click HERE to Read Our Latest Steakhouse 71 Review Hungry yet?
