Seriously, we’re sure Disney World hasn’t had a wink of sleep because they’ve dropped so many new updates this week (including some for spooky season!). If you’ve missed out, this is your chance to catch up! Magic Kingdom I’m back again with another round of WHAT’S NEW UPDATES AT DISNEY WORLD, a rundown on all the epic news and updates that happened at Disney World this past week. This week we got the 4-1-1 on a popular Disney Springs Store unexpectedly CLOSING, Magic Kingdom getting into the Halloween spirit, and a first look at Mickey and Minnie’s NEW Halloween Costumes! Are y’all ready? Okay, let’s go! A Disney Springs Store CLOSED Suddenly for Refurbishment Candy Cauldron is an enchanted candy factory. You’ll find delicious treats like cake pops, cookies, cupcakes, candy apples, and candies all with a Disney Twist. Candy Cauldron As of August 5th, this candy shop closed temporarily for refurbishment without much warning. There was no reopening date listed on the Disney World website. ©Disney Candy Cauldron shared on their Instagram stories that it will be reopening in the coming months, and there will be new “spooktacular” treats! We hope this means they’ll be open in time for some of the Halloween season. We can’t wait to see what these new treats will be! via Candy Cauldron on Instagram In the meantime, you can get your fix of sweets at many other locations around Disney Springs including Amorette’s Patisserie, Everglazed, The Ganachery, Ghirardelli, Gideon’s Bakehouse, Marketplace Snacks, Salt & Straw, Swirls on the Water, Sprinkles, and more! This is My Favorite Thing to Eat at Disney Springs and Too Many People Don’t Even Know it’s There Nope. Even A Hurricane Didn’t Stop Disney World From Making This HUGE Update. Even a hurricane making landfall won’t stop Disney World from getting into the Halloween spirit! Halloween has arrived in Magic Kingdom! With Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicking off on August 9th, we were eagerly awaiting Halloween to arrive in Magic Kingdom. Well, we finally got our wish! Even as Hurricane Debby brought wind and rain to the area overnight, Cast Members were hard at work installing some of the fall decorations in Magic Kingdom. It was a rainy day but we were so happy to see some pumpkins greeting us as we entered Main Street, U.S.A. When you first get to the park, you will spot some adorable pumpkins in front of the Main Street, U.S.A. train station. Magic Kingdom is almost ready for Halloween! Pumpkins are also up and looking great out front of City Hall and Town Square Theater. We are all for these spooky vibes! More pumpkins! You can also pay a visit to the pumpkin scarecrows that are up on Main Street, U.S.A. The scarecrows are scattered around the flagpole area and you can see a variety of different characters! Pumpkin Scarecrows You can spot quite a few different pumpkin scarecrows and they are doing a great job of bringing the Halloween spirit to Magic Kingdom! They have arrived! There is even a pumpkin scarecrow from the Main Street, U.S.A. band! Pumpkin Scarecrow Roy Disney and Minnie Mouse also got some Halloween decorations around their photo op. However, we are still awaiting the arrival of the pumpkin decorations all the way down Main Street, U.S.A. Nevertheless, we are SO excited to see the decorations starting to get put out and we will be keeping an eye out for the rest of the decorations! pic.twitter.com/Y6uLsFwpC3 — Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) August 5, 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party starts on August 9th, 2024, to October 31st, 2024, and we can’t wait to celebrate the start of the Halloween season amidst the iconic Magic Kingdom decorations. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party is a separately ticketed event that takes place on select nights. At the event, you can participate in trick-or-treating, meet special characters, enjoy exclusive entertainment, eat themed treats, and more! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party We are already planning our fall outfits and getting ready to sip on pumpkin spice drinks while walking down Main Street, U.S.A! Magic Kingdom is ready for Halloween! Magic Kingdom is officially decorated for spooky season, and the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has finally arrived! Having kicked off on Friday, August 9th, the Halloween event in Magic Kingdom takes place on select nights through October 31st with a specially priced ticket. There will be exclusive snacks, new merchandise, exciting entertainment, shorter waits for rides, and our favorite characters dressed in their Halloween costumes. Speaking of characters in costumes, we finally got to see what our pals Mickey and Minnie will be wearing to the event of the season and two new characters coming to the party! ©Disney | Check out Mickey and Minnie’s new costumes for 2024! Each year, Mickey and Minnie don show-stopping Halloween costumes for the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Earlier this year, in May, Disney shared a look at what the duo would be wearing this year. And now, Disney posted a reel on Instagram of the two being sneaky and spooky in their new outfits as we get closer and closer to the first party day! via Disney Parks on Instagram The costumes look great! They’re full of spiderwebs with green and purple coloring. We LOVE them! They’re certainly going to be spooky enough for the party. You’ll be able to meet Mickey and Minnie during the party and even see them in the parade. via Disney Parks on Instagram Disney also revealed that Mirabel and Bruno will be joining in on the party fun! You can visit them at their Casita in Fairytale Garden. ©Disney The party starts at 7PM on select nights and runs until midnight, but those with a party ticket can enter Magic Kingdom at 4PM! There is so much to do and see at these events; it’s one of our favorite things in Disney World. Be sure to grab your tickets now, as only a few dates have sold out.
