Not only do BOTH Disneyland and Disney California Adventure get decked out for fall and Halloween, but Oogie Boogie Bash is THE Halloween party you want to attend. Not to mention, Disneyland also celebrates Día de Los Muertos with Plaza de la Familia, which celebrates the everlasting bond of family with a Coco theme. This year, though, Plaza de la Familia will feature a new show!

Plaza de la Familia is returning to California Adventure’s Paradise Gardens from August 23rd through November 2nd. During that time, you’ll be able to catch a brand new Coco-themed show called “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate The Musical World of Coco!” You’ll get to enjoy some iconic musical moments from Coco like “Remember Me” and The World Es Mi Familia,” as well as the Mexican folk song “La Llorona,” and more. This show will start running several times a day beginning on August 30th.

In between performances, you can get your photo taken with Miguel — “brought to life as a hand-animated dimensional figure.” You’ll find him beside the “Recuérdame” (“Remember Me”) mural.

The Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) is also returning to Plaza de la Familia this year. Here, you can post personal messages to your loved ones on the  Memory Wall.

You’ll also find an arts and crafts area where you can make your own paper alebrije masks of Dante and Pepita, as well as enjoy live music on the nearby bandstand.

Of course, you can’t have a celebration without food, so you’ll find some delicious Mexican food on the menu at Paradise Garden Grill.
